Born Robin Charles Thicke on March 10,1977 to equally talented parents canadian actor Allan Thicke of "growing pains" and singer actress Gloria Loring of "Days of our lives". Inspired by his parents musicality, he began writing songs at the age of 13. Thicke began his songwriting career doing hits for popular artists in the likes of Christina Aguilera, March Anthony, and Brandy. But he got his first Grammy for his contribution on Usher's 2004 album Confessions. He was also responsible for putting Guy Sebastian of Australian Idol 2003 in the four times platinum debut single "Angels brought me here". In 2005, Thicke performed as a guest artist in the remix of Will Smith's " Switch " and after been signed to Neptunes label began working on his album " The evolution of Robin Thicke ".
